These patties were made to bring back foodie memories or to make new ones. The delicious turmeric infused pastry paired with a velvety mix of seasoned eggplant and sweet potato with nori dust synonymous with a salt fish patty that we grew up loving.
Ingredients: Pastry Unbleached all purpose flour, distilled water, dairy free vegan butter, date sugar, salt.
Filling: Eggplant, sweet potato, carrots , scotch bonnet pepper, onion powder, herbs and spices, Himalayan pink salt.
Directions: Preheat oven to 180 °C. Heat patties for 20 minutes or until the middle of patty hot and the pastry is to your desired hue. You can test this but sticking the tines of a fork or a skewer. Serve warm or at room temperature.
