
Trinidadian doubles are a popular street food in its namesake. Two fluffy savoury flat baras, similar to a savoury donut are filled with piping hot seasoned chickpeas and topped with sweet, hot and sour chutneys and sauces.

This product includes:- 8 Baras
- 400g Chickpea Stew
- Coconut Chutney
- Tamarind Chutney
- Trini Pepper Sauce
Ingredients:
All purpose flour, water, active dry yeast, baking powder, Himalayan pink salt, sunflower oil, chickpeas, onion, turmeric, chickpea flour, desiccated coconut, lime juice powder, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, vinegar, tamarind pulp, brown sugar, herbs & spices.
Allergens: contains wheat, gluten and sulphur dioxide.
May also contain traces of nuts, peanuts and sesame seeds.
Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 180°C, place bara (removing from package) in the oven and reheat for 5 minutes.
2.) Empty contents of chickpea mixture into sauce pot and bring to a boil and stir.
3.) Empty contents of coconut chutney into a small bowl. Stir in 3-4 tbs of water and set aside.
4.) Assemble doubles by overlapping 2 bara, spoon some chickpea mixture in the middle and drizzle on coconut chutney, tamarind chutney and hot sauce.
